Following his hilarious hosting of The La Rue Revue(Danny La Rue Anniversary Night) here at The Pavilion back in May, we’re delighted to bring Mr. Pussy back for an evening’s entertainment - a night NOT to be missed you’ll agree…

Alan Amsby, the unique and undisputed icon of live entertainment in Ireland is, as ever, at your service. Infamously better known as Mr. Pussy, Alan has been bringing pleasure, surprise, shock and hilarity to Irish audiences for over 30 years. Mr. Pussy’s performances are culturally without parallel. No matter how varied the audience in background, age, shock-ability or shock resistance, years of experience have allowed Pussy to adapt material, costumes and show content to suit every taste.

Whether its high class corporate glitz or friends on a naughty night out: whether they want shades of outrageous blue or are more at home with well behaved blue rinses; even if their excessively butch or extremely bitchy, Pussy meets the challenge, sets the mood and wins the audience, every time…Originally from London, Alan has been performing in Ireland as a female impersonator, singer/comedian, after dinner speaker, TV personality and alluring hostess since his first appearance in Belfast in the early 60’s. In retrospect, Pussy is considered to have been beautiful, brave and daring artist considerable ahead of his time. So convincing was he visually, dressed as a ravishing beauty, top London agencies regularly booked him as a female model not realising his real identity! He still has those photo shoot pictures in his wonderful album! His original entree to the entertainment world was as a young wig stylist and designer in the halcion days of British cinema. He made character beards for stars such as Dirk Bogarde and the moustaches on The Beetles ‘Sgt Pepper’ album were his creations! His engaging charm endeared him to legendary figures such as Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli and Sammy Davis Jnr.
